Sounds interesting dividing your plate?Imagine a plate where all the 7 or at least 3 of the most important elements that your body needs are represented. This is what more often than not we call a balanced diet which includes Vegetables, Carbohydrates, proteins, fat, fibre ,vitamins, minerals and water.Balanced diet is important because your body organs and tissues need proper nutrition to work effectively.Good nutrition prevents the body from diseases and infections, fatigue, poor performance and fatigue. However, balanced diet and meal planning are two different things.Meal planning involves keeping a record of the number of meals to take for a week or a day.Having a balanced diet does not mean going out there and getting expensive foods and drinks for you to feel the vibe of balancing your diet.Something as simple as having tea and a piece of banana is a balanced diet.Always divide your plate in portions and ensure vegetables fill close to half of your plate. It is also key to calculate your calories to attain a balances level.Vegetables are essential sources of vitamins and minerals.Dark leafy greens are the best.Proteins like beans and meat are essential for proper muscle and brain development.Choose low lean fat meats like Chicken, fish, and certain pork cuts which are the best.Vitamins are a major source of replenishment to our body cells. They may include fruits or natural juices from these fruits.Grains too serve as a high source of nutrition.Oils too are very key in our diet are to be used sparingly and opt for low fat and low sugar version of products that contain oil like salad dressing and mayonnaise. Here is a disclaimer, avoid supplements, they have proven to be harmful to the human body.Eat less salt too not more than 6 grams a day.lastly,do not forget a glass or two of water to seal the deal.Did you know that apples serve to wake you up better in the morning than coffee??
Well Think about It.To eat a balanced diet is to live a healthy life.
